The objectives of the Miniature Horse Association of Nova Scotia are:

To promote any idea, development or activity that shall be for the betterment of Miniature Horses of Nova Scotia. 

To promote fellowship and bring about better co-operation and communication among the miniature horse community throughout Nova Scotia.

To develop and maintain a public relations program increasing public awareness of Miniature Horses of Nova Scotia.

To establish and maintain a liaison with any authority regional, national or international, whose objectives are in keeping with MHANS.

To establish and maintain a series of Miniature Horse Shows in Nova Scotia and to provide and revise, as necessary, the rules governing these shows.
